Who do I contact to get involved?
You can email The Chaparral PTO to get more info on volunteering and the PTO.

How much time does it take to be involved in PTO?
As little or as much as you can give. We work together as a team.

Does it cost anything to be a PTO member?
It only costs your time which you generously donate to support the school.

Do I have to volunteer a certain amount of time?
There is no required amount of time. Every bit helps.

Do I have to go to a PTO meeting in order to volunteer?
No. While we encourage parent participation at the meetings, helping with any activity is always welcome…and you don’t need to be a board member to volunteer.

Can I bring my kids to a PTO meeting?
You can absolutely bring your children to the PTO meeting, although topics are generally boring to children and adult interactive.  Children may bring items to keep them busy or entertain themselves.  Typically, there are a handful of kids attending the meeting.

How long are the PTO meetings and where are they?
PTO meetings are usually an hour and a half. All meetings are held in the PTO room at the school. The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. on the 1st Tuesday of every month that school is in session.
